The proposal at Parco del Pincio
We met with perfect timing and easily recognized each other from afar. From there it was just a short and casual walk to the park’s terrace view. The moment, the light, the view. It was all perfect. So was the great surprise and the joyful moments that followed the marriage proposal.
Just had a small hesitation when someone jumped in the frame without knowing of the photography to congratulate our wonderful couple. But it all turned out great.
The engagement session in Rome
So we ventured into the city on foot looking for cool engagement like photo ideas. Starting from Parco del Pincio itself overlooking Piazza del Popolo. Then moving downwards toward Church Trinita’ dei Monti and the Spanish Steps. The water fountain at the bottom of the piazza was undergoing restoration. Behind it, we walked through Via Condotti into the high fashion district in Rome. We saw some nice photo locations by the Prada showcase which we used as a fun backdrop.
A pleasant walk ending at the Pantheon
We steered back toward Fontana di Trevi where the crowd was overwhelming! So we stayed on the top part trying to capture photos with not so many people in the picture frame. On our way towards the Roman Pantheon we stopped at Piazza Montecitorio in front of the chamber of deputies where I saw a potentially striking image. It was a little tricky to wait for the right moment as the place can really be crowded. But that moment came and I think it was worth the wait!
