How does the Rome Family Photographer session work?

Being in the Eternal city with your family is a wonderful opportunity to take unique pictures together! Let this be to always remember a vacation or a holiday trip or to design your Christmas cards to send to friends and fam. We simplified the process of finding the right family photographer in Rome. And have put together a simple and quick way to set up a photoshoot in Italy. Where You can custom design your photography session.

Start by choosing the city of preference. Currently shooting in central Italy ranging from Tuscany and Florence to the Amalfi coast passing through the Eternal city. Selecting the length of the session. And choose between selected locations which have been tested out as perfect for a photo shoot. Favoring sites which are predominantly pedestrian and not so overly crowded. But which still recollet the essence of being together while visiting. Additional services can be included such as private minivan drivers to take you from your accomodation to the shooting location(s). Spacious minivans which can also be prompted with baby seats if you have small kids.

The Eternal city offers a plethora of family-friendly activities, making it an ideal destination for a memorable vacation. Things to do with kids in Rome. What can you expect from the photoshoot?

Unique portrait pictures in iconic locations which best represent the ancient city. Taken by English speaking professional Photographers with experience in taking pictures of kids. Favoring family friendly locations possibly in pedestrian areas where we can create memorable group shots and individual portraits. Focusing on posed portraits but also shooting more candid shots. Striving to take fun and playful images. Especially when kids are present! Unique and creative compositions that recall that true Italian environment.

FAQ

Do you have any experience in photographing children?

We do! Some of us are both fathers and photographers and are accustomed to taking pictures of kids and know the importance of capturing the moment! So let’s make it fun!

What happens if it rains?

Should rain be in the forecast we can reschedule to a mutually agreeable date and time. Apart from a rainy day, shooting when it is just cloudy with no rain does have advantages. An overcast day can bring out nice contrasted pictures with smooth evenly distributed light.

What are the payment options

Payment is split up by 30% deposit payment at the moment of booking through our website form either by PayPal or Stripe which is direct credit card debit. This allows you to book a date and a time slot for you photography session. The remaining balance can be paid either in EURO cash or by credit card on the day of the session +6% studio payment transfer fees.

How will I receive the photos?

Photos can be downloaded after editing and post production on our cloud servers. After about a month or earlier, you will receive a download link by email where you will be able to download all the high and low resolution images including all printing rights. You can include a faster delivery option by selection the expedient image delivery during the reservation phase. Once pictures are loaded on the server they will be available for about 2 weeks after which the server normally removes the files from the server.

Does the black and white conversion also come with color pictures?

Yes, when you select the black and white option you will receive pictures in both color and b&w. Essentially including black & white is like an add on to the color image delivery.

Are pictures touched up?

Yes pictures undergo our exclusive post production processing. Which includes framing improvements, exposure, color and contrast adjustments. Fixing the white balance if necessary. Optimizing image sharpness. Trying to make the photos look their best. It is out of the scope of our post production processing altering a person’s traits or removing or adding objects from the picture frame.

What time is best?

The optimal time to shoot family photographer Rome photo sessions does really depend on the chosen location. How crowded it can be and how the sun shines there. Shooting at sunset is nice especially for landscapes. But this is not always ideal when shooting lifestyle or groups of people. As sunsets can create a moody photo but it can also create a dark image. We find that the golden light is often the best time to shoot. Approx. 1-2 hrs before sundown.

Another alternative is early morning. Where the Rome Family Photographer session would benefit from having less people around. However, in the early morning in a city like Rome which is enclosed by buildings, tall trees and hills. The light is not always ideal. So when shooting in the morning it is best to find a balance between early morning and mid morning. Depending on the location in between 9:00 am and 10:00 am finds the spot.

Where else do you shoot family photo sessions?

Besides the capital of Italy we also shoot session in Florence and throughout Tuscany as well as the Amalfi coast, Positano and Sorrento.

How long will the delivery take?

We work on photos on a first in first out basis. So in the summertime this can be as long as a month. If you wish to speed up the process you can select the expedient image delivery option. Which shortens the delivery time to a 2 week maximum wait although we often are able to complete production within a week.

Who is going to take our pictures?

Our photography studio is currently made up of 3 associated Rome family photographer. Andrea Matone, the founder photographer is still an active photographer and one of the three professionals. Please see our on the about us page! Session are attributed to the Portrait Photographer at the beginning of the month or 1 week before the session at the latest. Allowing us to plan out the photo shoots and the photographer time as best we can and with the most efficiency. The portfolio section of our website is the byproduct of our photography team work.
